Post Curtains Catch All
[After round 2, Sigyn and Loki go to live with Stephen and Mephisto in their New York penthouse. Sigyn is very reluctant to leave her wife, so for a good six months she doesn't leave the penthouse unless it's for short trips to the store and a few trips to see Riley.
After that period, when Loki has regained some of her strength, the two of them will frequently travel to visit her friends.
Other than traveling she spends her time relaxing in the penthouse with her new family, trying to catch up on all the pop culture she missed being born and raised in a completely different universe. Movie night? Movie night.]

It was a great effort to keep Anne from belting out “Secret, Secret...”, but they managed. And the mission was initiated! Anne corners Sigyn one afternoon, bristling with energy and dramatics.]
Sigyn! I need your help! I have a date tonight, and I don’t have anything to wear!
no subject
Which means she is not quite sure what to do when Anne bursts in.]
I don't think you can fit any of mine. Well, you can, but they'd be very long on you.
no subject
I don’t need to borrow something. But I do need your help. If I take Mephisto, he’ll either go too flashy, or find me something that makes me look bad on purpose, because he thinks he’s funny. If I take Stephen, I’ll end up with something too boring. And the Queens all have the same fashion sense I do—- about 500 years behind on trends. [She purses her lips in annoyance, as if she’s encountering a real predicament.]
Please, come help me find something! I haven’t had a date literally ever.

And we won’t be far at all. If anything happens, we’re a phone call away. Please don’t make me take Mephisto instead, it’ll be so bad.
no subject
Okay, let me just go talk to her and the boys quick.
[It only takes a few minutes. All three of them are in the living room, almost like they were waiting for her to come in. They assure her everything will be fine, that if anything happens they will call immediately.
Loki comes with Sigyn to meet Anne by the front door to
make sure she doesn't back out at the last secondgive her a gentle kiss and an extra promise that everything will be okay. Once Sigyn turns away from her to face Anne Loki gives the queen two thumbs up and an enthusiastic grin.]Okay, where to?
no subject
She waggles her fingers enthusiastically at Loki as they leave, and for what it's worth, also makes sure her phone's not on silent, just in case. If something does happen, Sigyn's not the only one who will never forgive herself.]
There's a few shop nearby that--- [She draws a piece of paper from her pocket, and frowns at it. The other Queens are almost as bad as the game night rules--- with the amount of suggestions and then striking out the others suggestions and---- Did K. Howard write forever 21 b/c ur basic lol? She crumples it, and shoves it back into her bag]
Nevermind. It's a city. We'll find something.
no subject
I'm sure we can find something. [A quicke search yeilds more than a few articles about the "Best Shopping in New York City". She leans over to show Anne.]
Anything look good?
no subject
Anna peers at the phone curiously then gestures on the list to something that's nearby, but still not too close. She's still got a mission here, and it involves dragging Sigyn out of her comfort zone a little bit more than it involves actually shopping.]
Maybe there? I think that was on my list, at one point-- it seems unique!
no subject
It certainly seems interesting. And not too far to walk.
[The elevator dings and the doors open to the bottom floor. Sigyn offers Anne her arm.]
Shall we?
no subject
She’ll be fine. Mephisto’s oddly capable, when pushed to it. Don’t ever tell him, but he’s kind of sweet. I offered him my soul, the week we were all seeing things, and he didn’t even take it. And he helped me feel safe, when I was sure that I was in real danger.
no subject
...Is the soul offering another part of the 'demon' thing? [She remembers something about that from one of the shows they watched recently.]
no subject
—-Anyway. He got his chance! I was so scared I basically tried to offer it up myself. But instead, he told me I was okay, and that he’d protect me.
no subject
As Anne rambles, they make their way on to the street. The hustle and bustle is very different on ground level than it is from the penthouse's terrace. Not different in a bad way just different.
Sigyn beings leading them in the direction of the store Anne had selected.]
He's a good man, whether he wants to admit it or not.
But enough about them. Tell me about your date.
no subject
Oh, I don’t know. Turns out, having a choice is super hard and awful. Christine was right about Tinder! People say the most forward things—- not even my husband said such things to me! [There’s scandal to her tone, but who knows how risqué anything actually was with Anna of Cleves, who still would firmly avert her eyes from anything higher than PG-13 romance wise on television.] So I began thinking—- why can’t I just have someone else do this for me, again? And then! I found out blind dates aren’t just dates for blind people!
no subject
Then we'll dress for the location. Where are you going?
no subject
Okay. So there are these giant castles filled with water, and fish! Behind glass! And you look at the fish. And you're just in the room with fish around you!
And then dinner at a seafood restaurant, next to the fish, which is a little morbid, but sounds fun, ja?
no subject
Sounds like a good time. Who set you up?
no subject
Ja, You're right, I should cancel! [... Sigyn didn't really suggest that, but here we go! She makes a move for her phone.]
no subject
From what you've told me, Jane might have bad taste in men, but she is also a good person who wants you to have a good time. Give it a shot. At worst he's annoying and you call one of us in the bathroom to give you an out.
no subject
I've never done this before-- what if-- I guess you can't really get away with cutting off your wives heads anymore, and blind dates don't involve pictures--
no subject
[Once it seems like Anne isn't going to immediately cancel the date Sigyn holds the phone out to her.]
Look, the best case is you have a really good time and want to see this person again. Worst case, he's a creep. But what's probably going to happen is you are going to have a fine time with a few awkward moments. But listen -[Sigyn stops suddenly and turns to Anne, taking her face in her hands. She suddenly looks deadly serious.]
-if he tries to do anything to hurt you, we will find him, and we will make sure he never gets the chance to do so again.
no subject
But somehow, when she looks at Sigyn, she believes it this time. This was a group of people who had defied death, multiple times, and managed to stay together, despite coming from very different universes, places, times.
Somehow, Anne still manages to not look serious, pushing her lips out into a dramatic pout and giving a rapid head nod.]
I don't think you have to worry about that. I managed to survive a guy famous for killing half his wives.
no subject
But I'm sure it won't come to that. Now, lets go find you something to wear.
no subject
Ja! And I haven’t forgotten, something for Loki too.
